Bedding straw?
Just moved to Chugiak and was wondering where folks got straw for winter bedding? Thanks. |

Hi Mike...first of all, welcome to Chugiak. You can find good, clean straw at Valley Feed & Seed in Eagle River (Stock up, they usually sell out when the temperatures drop). Local farmers also sell limited amounts & advertise in the paper. Safe Trails Theresa & Dude Dog Kennels www.dudedog.net |

MBarD in Anchorage has very clean 50lb bales and Animal food wharehouse had a shipment in last week. Welcome to the area, hope to meet you out on the trail or at one of the next meetings! |

Mike, I just got straw from MBarD. I love it. Move fast and keep a supply on hand. The feed stores always seem to be out. The Jr Mushers are also selling it for a fund raiser - check out the classified ads on the site. See you on the trails! |
