Cold weather on the Costa del Sol

Hi i am looking to rent a villa on the outskirts of Torrox, just up a mountain side a little. How cold will it get in winter as the floors are all tiled and there is no central heating. Has good sized open fire will this be enough. Thanks in advance anyone!

Hi

Depends on where you live. We live in Nerja and spent our first winter hear 2006 - 2007 we did not need to have a open fire. But did have a portable radiator that we moved around the house. Plus had a warm jumper to hand. January onwards radiator was stored. Further up the campo may be a different story. Although this last winter was very mild so i am told.

Hi Jess

Most people use portable gas heaters. You have to buy bottles of gas (not sure where the shop is in Torrox) but there is one opposite the donkey sanctuary as you come into Nerja on the coast road.

A bottle of gas costs just over 11 euros
