stainless steel molds
Is it true that one should use boron nitride as coating for stainless steel molds instead of kiln wash? Any advantages or disadvantages to either method? |

I use kiln wash on all mine, and have done so for many years, with no problem at all. The only issue is when the molds are new the wash tends to repell..... you can heat them and coat or just coat, let dry, coat again till all the surface is coated (this is what I do). Once used the problem does not reoccur. Hope that helps, Nan |
