POT MELTS

Itook a class where the instructor gave us squares of glass that she made by doing pot melts. She said that you fill up a clay pot with scrap glass and let it melt into a clay saucer to make the pot melt. I'm really interested making my own pot melt and I'm willing to experiment but I'd like starter guidance on a kiln schedule. I have a paragon 18 inch kiln. I usually just fuse 2 or three layers of standard glass so working with a "POT" full of glass pieces I don't have any reference. I keep missing the instructor at the shop I took the class so any guidance would be appreciated.

Re: POT MELTS

I have not done this myself although I keep meaning to... however to get the glass to flow it should be hotter than full fuse temp....
