I got to see Jaco play in a small club in Ft lauderdale. It changed the way I felt about bass and the way I didn't know about how intense a musician can be live. The energy level during the performance was amazing. I'll never forget it.
Hi.
I sat at work today and listened to Three views of a secret from Night passage.
This music is timeless and artists like Jaco and Joe Zawinul is also timeless.
Last weekend I did listen to the DVD 75th, from Zawinuls last tour.
The duet with Wayne is absolutly from another dimension and you can feel they both know this is the last time they are going to play together in this world.
In the past I have looked at your vids, Fletch, and no doubt you're taking your bass playing and your band seriously, Jaco made an impact!
"75" won a Grammy, without the big name interviews.. :P it's timeless indeed! I was so happy when Joe and Wayne made contact again after years of being "in a silent way" :)
