Several detractors for Spurrier; cold weather, to far north and best high school players are in the south(hard to convince them to go north) which makes recruiting difficult, something he doesn't enjoy doing to begin with. This can go on and on but those are few reasons why the Ole Ball Coach would never consider Illini.
