I never had a good feeling about Ron Turner as a coach. During my time at UofI, I was good friends with weveral football players. When ron turner was hired, I got a lot of feedback on his style of coaching. From what I got...he plays a lot of politics when running the team; playing the team against each other depending on his mood and who he might decide he doesn't like that day. This type of leadership doesn't promote a team effort or ethic and it ultimately doesn't lead to good performance on the field.

I didn't know that Ron Turner's father was named Fred. How can you defend that guy? He is making $$$ and has given us a total of 3 wins in 1.5 seasons (all the wins were over crappy teams). Sorry my friend, but you are in the minority here.
