From Robert Osborne (Turner Classic Movies)

My thoughts are with you and the family today.
Also wanted to let you know that Sunday's programming all day on TCM
will be Glenn Ford films.
On Oct. 21, we'll be saluting him in primetime
with GILDA at 8 pm (Eastern), POCKETFUL OF MIRACLES at 10 pm,
IMITATION GENERAL at 12:30, THE FASTEST GUN ALIVE at 2:15 am,
and TERROR ON A TRAIN at 4 a.m.
Best,
Robert O.

Re: From Robert Osborne (Turner Classic Movies)

Thanks for the info Barbara. Good for TCM.
I haven't seen Terror on a Train for a long time. I'll be recording that one for sure. I can't remember ever seeing Imitation General so that will be recorded too!

Re: Re: From Robert Osborne (Turner Classic Movies)

Hi Noreen,

I have both on video, and they are great. Imitation General is quite the comedy. Lots of laughs. Glenn works with the late Red Buttons who passed away in July at age 87.

Regards,

Desiree

How interesting...Glenn worked with Marlon Brando in Teahouse, I own it, but watched it again on Sunday. I just love that movie. Glenn was perfect for that role. The ending really made me cry this time. I usually get tears in my eyes at the end...this time, it was a two hankie ending.

And Brando worked with Red Buttons in Sayanora! I wonder if Red Buttons and Glenn had any discussions on Brando??
(I liked Red Buttons' acting, he comes across as a really nice person in his movies, esp. Hatari).
