sad to hear the news of the passing of Charlton Heston. He and Glenn appeared in the all-star movie MIDWAY in 1976 although they didn`t have scenes together. By the way: It`s amazing that Glenn never worked with Richard Widmark in a western movie together.They would have been a great team.Regards,Frank.

Hi Frank. Another legend passes from us. Actually, Heston and Glenn do share the scene where Adm. Spruance comes aboard when Mitchum's Halsey falls ill. Ford really dominates that scene during the planning stages. It's a shame the script did not give him more to do. Spruance was the hero of Midway and the right actor was in place to do him justice.

Widmark and Ford would have made a good team, maybe in THE LAW AND JAKE WADE with Glenn in the Robert Taylor role. And although Kirk and Burt already cornered the market, imagine GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL with Glenn as stalwart Wyatt Earp and Widmark as psychotic Doc Holliday.
