To begin I'd like to offer my condolences on the loss of your mother. Losing a loved one, especially a parent is never easy, however she is no longer in pain and that is a reason to be thankful. It is up to those of us who remain to keep their memory alive and give back to other the good things they gave to us.
I'm quite interested in your participation in HCV awareness and whether there are any current fundraising activities in which you may be involved. I realize you are currently busy with your book and probably many other projects, but with the strikingly minimal amount of public awareness about this epidemic, any efforts to change that have become my mission. Research and education is the only way to combat this plague, and at this time there isn't enough of either.
