Enjoyed your speaking at the ABA/CoLAP Conference in Little Rock. Wondering how one can square too much in being 'out' in recovery and still maintain anonominity. It's a slippery slope, so be sure you have your skis on tightly and hang in there! You did have an inspiring story, but personal anonominity is indisputably the spiritual foundation of our program. Don't follow in Don Johnson & Elton John's footsteps, who claim that AA didn't work because they ultimately relapsed. I personally believe that the key to recovery & growth is 'Being in AA' and not just 'Going to AA,' and remain entirely willing to go to ANY lengths, ie. steps & traditions. Struggling not to take your inventory, just a thought to consider.
