Council Leader announces changes to council’s Cabinet

Royal Borough Council Leader, Cllr Simon Werner, has announced new year changes to the Cabinet - positioning it to build on the significant progress already made by the council in its improvement journey.
Following significant transformation to improve housing delivery and reduce financial pressures being approved by Cabinet at the end of 2025 – Cllr Catherine Del Campo’s portfolio will now bring housing delivery and strategy together with health, to ensure housing development benefits local communities and available housing meets need, with a focus on social housing and tackling homelessness.

This move means that Cllr Adam Bermange now takes Cabinet responsibility for adult services, within his portfolio that includes planning and governance – aiming to better link planning to help meet diverse community needs, create ‘heathy places’ and support residents live healthy and independent lives.

With a comprehensive review of council assets to make sure we are getting the best value from them, Cllr Chris Moriarty now joins the Cabinet to draw this together with driving broader improvements to council services to make them more efficient and ensure that residents get more value – by taking the lead for corporate services, transformation and asset management.

While Cllr Mark Wilson will retain the role of lead member for performance, he will also now assume responsibility for neighbourhood and leisure services – further demonstrating the Cabinet’s focus to deliver the services that matter to residents, including dealing with litter, graffiti and fly tipping, alongside improving parks and leisure facilities in the borough.

This also allows Cllr Richard Coe to focus on public protection, including licencing, environmental health and community safety, while exploring options for wider community governance.

The new Cabinet portfolios:

Cllr Simon Werner – Leader and Cabinet Member for Community Partnerships and Maidenhead
Cllr Lynne Jones – Cabinet Member for Finance and Deputy Leader
Cllr Catherine Del Campo – Cabinet Member for Housing Services, Housing Delivery and Health
Cllr Adam Bermange – Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Planning and Governance
Cllr Amy Tisi – Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Education and Windsor
Cllr Chris Moriarty – Cabinet Member for Asset Management, Corporate Services and Transformation
Cllr Mark Wilson – Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Leisure and Performance
Cllr Richard Coe – Cabinet Member for Public Protection and Community Governance
Cllr Karen Davies – Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Biodiversity
Cllr Geoff Hill – Cabinet Member for Highways, Customer Services, Libraries and IT
The Leader of the Council, Cllr Simon Werner, said: “We have done so much to fix the mess we have inherited, but we cannot be complacent.

“This new cabinet is determined to continue the great work of making the Royal Borough financially sustainable - while also focusing on creating a borough of safer, greener and cleaner communities, with opportunity for all.”

The next meeting of the Cabinet is on Tuesday 27 January 2026. For more information view the meeting agenda on Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead website. https://rbwm.moderngov.co.uk/documents/g9996/Public%20reports%20pack%20Tuesday%2027-Jan-2026%2018.00%20Cabinet.pdf?T=10
