Elizabeth House Cookham is a successful, well established Day Centre for senior citizens. It is open to members on weekdays from 9.30 to 3pm It has very busy moments during the day and the manager finds she has several tasks all to be done at the same time.
We are looking for a volunteer who can step in and help. For example, helping with Meet and Greet if more than one member arrives at the same time. Answer the telephone if the manager is involved in another task. Help man the desk if the manager has to go upstairs to the office for a time. Help to deal with questions from members or volunteers or visitors. Find that missing coat. Mingle and chat with members and/or help with the activities of the day.
This is a new volunteering role we have identified. We need cover 5 days a week. The role could be a full day or split into sessions per day:
mornings - 9.30 to noon
afternoons - noon to 3.00
