I believe so.

Early to mid 50's single coil P bass(or is it Tele bass?). Not sure if it's his original or an exact copy that he had made and relic'd.

Sting's bass is a 1951 Fender Precision, original. Fender has copies of this bass for sale that are non-US manufactured with Sting's signature at the 12th fret. You can visit Fenders website for details.

Sting plays a pre-CBS Pretense-o-caster

Sting plays a Fender Precision bass from the 1955 or 1956.
Fender made the Precision basses like this till 1957.
The Precision bass that we know today was made from 1958 or late 1957.
By the way, I have three old Fender Jazz basses.
One early 1965, one late 1965 and one 1962.

Hi.
I live in Norway so I have some problem with sending you the bass.
If I get your e-mail adress, I can send you pictures of the bass.
It is in sunburst finish with a lot of wear, but that just shows the history of the bass.
I also have an Acoustic 360/361 bassrig from 1971.

The below link is a Fender model of Sting's bass which is in fact a '51

The Sting model bass is also based on the '51 and not the later ones mentioned in your post.

In Bass Player Magazine, Sting said that on the road he uses a 1956 model as his main bass and a 1955 as his backup bass.

Thanks Arne, turns out we were both wrong. I went to the Sting website and pulled up the Bass Player interview and Sting's bass is a '54 that he says he rescued years ago.
