There was talk of another gig in Rotterdam on the 25th in Rotterdam but I can't find anything about it on the internet. If someone knows more feel free to post.
Yes you are right, the dates you mentioned are correct. I will be going to both gigs, Enschede also has Nguyen Le on the program for the 27th, at exactly the same time as the Sco gig, quite stupid.
There won't be a jazz festival in Curacao this year, no money.
Yes, I have been in Holland now for over a week. Just saw Sco perform with the Metropole in Den Bosch, all these great Sco tunes arranged by Vince Mendoza....it was the best. Next up is the Enschede gig. I wonder what Mendoza could make out of some Jaco tunes...he is one of the best arrangers I know. Also got to buy the second Graves Band CD....an enjoyable re-run of a very conventional concept, must say though that I got more out of Mike Breckers last CD, much more creativity and sincerity.
No, I couldn't because Jim McNeely was leading the band in stead of Vince Mendoza. It would be an interesting project though, Mendoza has made some wonderful arrangements of Zawinul tunes for example.
