Richard Bona

Hi Friends,

Have anyone of you listened to Bona's album Tiki? As always he includes a little hommage to Jaco, this time it's his take on 'Three Women'. Very nice of course but the thing is: I don't recognize the tune! It's filled with lots of violins and apart from the beginning the tune goes places where I have never heard it go before. Is this the original version of 'Three Women' or just a heavily reworked version?

Re: Richard Bona

I have the album and it's great. Sorry, don't know the answer to your 2nd Q. That is the only version of 'Three Women' that I have heard.

Re: Richard Bona

Yes, Jeroen, the violins are playing the melody, as I remember it. Gil Goldstein did a sweet arrangement of it as well.
