I send you a message to update you all about Joe Zawinul condition: he has been hospitalized in Vienna for a serious illness.
I have seen him in his concert last July 28, in Italy, and he was very weak, it seemed that he had lost weight, and when I met him after the concert, he was really exhausted.

Per communication with Tony, Joe's stepson, I just heard the sad news that his Mom, Zawa's wife Maxine, mother to Ivan and Eric Zawinul, passed away in July. HUGS for them all.
