80 Panels & Workshops Announced for Jazz Improv LIVE! 2007 Convention & Festival


New York, NY – August 29, 2007 – An expansive array of more than 80 panel discussions, live interviews and workshops featuring some of the foremost jazz artists and authorities has been added to the lineup of events at the First Annual Jazz Improv LIVE! 2007 Convention & Festival – The One International Convention for Jazz Fans, taking place October 25-28 at The New Yorker Hotel & Manhattan Center. Conference attendees will have a tough time choosing what to attend. The veritable bounty harvest of jazz performances and discussions about the music, personalities, history and recordings will take place on multiple stages and conference rooms simultaneously – and the choices will cover the gamut of styles and music embodied under the jazz banner. There are three fascinating tracks of events, and attendees are free to choose from among them: (1) Fan/Listener focused; (2) How-to’s of Making Music – workshops on improvising, composing, arranging and more with artists such as Stanley Clarke, Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, Ron Blake, Lewis Nash and others; (3) Music Business – marketing, production, promotion, performance, publishing, royalties, plus panels on radio with leading jazz radio programmers from around the country.
