a new word for the dictionary

"Pastorian" used in the following statement:

"Levy left the Flecktones in 1993, and the band's new trio format enabled Victor to develop and display a staggering array of fingerboard skills that turned him into a bass hero of Pastorian-proportions and helped earn the band their first GRAMMY Award."

Re: a new word for the dictionary

I have been a huge proponent of adding words to our vocabulary. As far as I'm concerned, if you can say it.....it's a word. Who can say that when Webster finished writhing his dictionary, that was it....done, no more words. Now my wife can't stand it because she claims I cheat at scrabble though I go backto my addage.....If I can say and use it in a sentence, it is a word.

I am actually on my way to becoming a Pastorian Historian.

sincerely,
Jay Walker, PH

Love "pastorian" but can't agree with it when used to describe Victor. Sure, Victor's got awesome skills, but he doesn't HEAR music like Jaco did, and that was his magic, not his technique.
