Re: What is this?

See the "jazz point" logo on one of the photos?

info@jazzpoint.de

Re: What is this?

...and also note the misspellings of some names listed.... :P And if, as it seems, Bobby Colomby is involved with this product, those misspellings are embarrassing. Personally, can't tell what it is.

Copycat. An identical question was already posted on jacopastorius.com days ago.

Re: What is this?

...and Matt, that post on jp.com could have been spawned from a post about it even before that, found here on the "new site" thread! It's a circle out there!! :O)

Re: What is this?

I laughed at the Rande Brecker. ..... I'm guessing a Japanese issue. ...... Maybe Bobby C. ..... But I can't imagine he needs the money. ........ Very nice packaging though. ...... Almost worth the price of admission.

Listening To: Jaco, Dylan, Waits & Dan Hicks today alone

Re: What is this?

No, not from Japan (at least no reference to it), Ron, Jazz Point Records is located in NY and is Jan Jankeje's (bassist) who released "Stuttgart Aria" with Bireli Lagrene, and a few other releases with Jaco from around that time. He also sells a poster of Jaco from that time period on eBay. Bobby Colomby is referenced more than once on the packaging, the music was mixed at his studio, or so it says....could just be an example of packaging.. oddly.
