Hello Ingrid, would like you, your family and friends to know about this totally awesome band, if you didn't know already, the Ambrose Akinmusire Quintet. Just saw them the other night at Jazz Standard, NYC, all original compositions, with new pianist Sam Harris, got all weepy again yes I'm 50 you know the deal. Oh so sweet, the best thing to come down the pike in jazz in at least two decades I think, well yes, after Jaco...real torch carriers these guys. Oh boy.
