I heard them last summer at Molde Jazz Festival in Norway(my hometown).
Fantastic concert.
Herbie is one of the last giants of jazz, and he is in the position of doing everything that he wants.
There are many musical styles and languages and Herbie knows them all.
Maybe some og the jazz critics don't like him in this setting, but who cares about the critics.
This is music and that is good enough for me
Critics schmitics...most aren't musicians anyway.. lol. Everyone has the right to do as they see important to them, without causing pain..and Herbie certainly is qualified to do so. I respect him immensely. I'd like to see anyone else do what he does! pffft
