BIGGY UNDER 16’s END OF SEASON RUGBY AWARDS 2012

A very satisfactory season for this young talented Biggy side culminated in the end of season presentation awards at the Biggy club house last Thursday.
Our Director of Rugby, Neil Gregory opened up proceedings thanking the players, coaches and parents (many who were present) for all their hard work, support & commitment . This was followed by Team Administrator, Richard Hill outlining the season statistics. Overall the coaches’ objectives were achieved. Biggy Under 16’s managed to cement their position in the top tier of the Herts & Middlesex premier division, no mean feat and a rare achievement for a Biggy junior side. Impressive wins against the likes of Wasps, Bishop Stortford & Teddington means exciting matches between the likes of Wasps, Bedford & Old Albanians will continue for another year. In addition the team reached the Final of the County Cup and only narrowly lost to a very strong Bedford Side.
Head Coach , Gareth Griffiths explained how well the team have bonded together and highlighted how committed our players are to the game and more importantly to each other. With further hard work he expects this Biggy side to continue to improve and could yet challenge for honours next season.
Finally, Neil Gregory presented the following awards:

Players Player of the Season & Coaches Player of the Year went to flanker , Kane Parris. An outstanding season, great pace ,mobility & also top try scorer with a magnificent eleven tries.

Most Improved Player went to fly half Matt Hill. A very good season, back to full fitness and strong game management and leadership skills.

Finally Clubman of the Year went to our Coach Chris Parr who joined us at the end of last season and has brought a great amount of professionalism, enjoyment and discipline to our training sessions and match days.
So Biggy Under 16’s look forward to a few weeks rest and exam revision ! before Summer training starts , details to be advised. Again thanks to all Coaches, Parent & Players.
