Dear Ladies,

Even though the Hard Hat Brotherhood is not a part of the Red Hat Society. A huge percentage of our guys are Red Hatter husbands. That in my book makes you a part of our history and culture. Because of that we would like to ask three things from you.
One, please tell the men you know about us. They may not even realize how bad they need to go out and have some manly fun.
Two, tell other Chapters about us as well so they can point their men in the write direction as well. Okay it's more like a good swift kick in the pants but hey we are guys ya know

Three, please feel free to express your thoughts and ideas here in our public forum. Your ideas and views help spark us into conversation as well. So feel free to post as much as you would like.

Crew Name: The Royal Pains

If i was given the chance i would love to be a red helmet lady.

As a brand new crew we are asking orginazational questions, one of which is: how much involvement of wives should be allowed? For example, day trips are no problem but an overnighter to a swank location might create discord between the sheets. One such trip we are looking at is to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in Hyde Park NY for a campus tour and seven course meal!!!) (Burp).

Also has anyone come up with an easy way to split expenses for meals and gas ($3/gal here) when a group of guys carpool to an event?

We are trying meeting once a week for an hour for breakfastat a local restaurant. Come as often as you want and give us an email address to keep you informed about goings-on,

Boy that sounds great!

As far as the women-folk go. Many of our Crews do have some "joint" events. Where the guys and the ladies do stuff together. For example the Crew Miner Problems do many Friday evenings during the summer attending outdoor concerts.

Remember there are no major rules in this organization so if you like doing joint events - go for it! Heck we have "Hatter Couple" tee shirts that say "Couples who hat together - stay together".

Just remember that at least some of your events are "guys only". There is a definate difference when the wives are around and when they are not.

Car pool stuff we just divee up the difference or someone gets a round of beer to offset the gas money. Of course with the way gas prices are lately they may have to throw some munchies in too boot!
