We were arriving on a cruise ship in Belize City. We had a little over and hour bus ride to Jaguar Paw, but our guide Ivor had lots of Belizean history, wildlife, economy, etc facts to tell us complete with lots of great pictures to pass around. He really made the hour go by fast. It was a little confusing at first when we arrived at the park, but relatively we quickly we found lockers to store our stuff ($) and were outfitted for Ziplining through the forest. We had some older folks that had a pretty hard time on this trip. It was a great zipline course, but there were alot of stairs built into the rugged terrain and they were pretty done in! After Zipping we followed Ivor into the caves for an interesting float. He was VERY VERY knowledgeable about everything regarding the caves, their history, and the science behind what was happening with the stalactites and stalagmites. Afterwards, we hiked back to the camp and had a delicious indigenous lunch....red beans, rice, coconut milk , stewed chicken! The ride back to the port was quieter....we all had full bellies!
