It is wonderful to see how William supported Lizzie in that terrible family atmosphere. Lizzie felt powerless in front of her mother' and sister' hostilily , I could see how close it came to a family-fight...

Rachael, the stress was so real I was "almost" caught in it too. Specially as Elisabeth was so concerned with Sam's school tests. Finally he and Alice got in, they are smart children.
Well, I restarted reading the all story again. I guess I will do it often when it is completed, as well.
It is brilliant! Cannot wait for the 3 last chapters.
And Rachael, have you thought about writing a story following up Alice's and Sam's own life?... I believe you would manage to createt another very exciting version of P&P, wouldn't you?

Ahhhhhh! How sweet! I am glad Mrs."B" didn't get to really lay into her. Grandpa "B" knows to many tricks to escape! Teaching the grandchildren all his techniques How exciting can hardly wait for the up coming nuptials and the surprise! Great job

I have greatly enjoyed your story this past several weeks. At each step of the way, you more than exceeded my hopes for the plot development and the characterizations. When I first read the description, I wondered what it would be like, because I don't usually enjoy modern P&P stories quite as much, and because the addition of Sam and Alice might complicate things.

Well, what do you know?!? It was a fantastic story, and I loved the addition of Sam and Alice to the storyline. In fact, I thought the dynamics between the adults and kids, and the way they all had to form a new family together was one of the best features of the story.

I also really enjoyed the way you interwove the names of classic P&P locations, characters, etc. into your modern version. Very clever.

It's been a delightful story. I'm sorry to see it end. Thanks so much for all your time and effort writing it.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments, and Sonya I had no idea I was a legend!! (Really??) That's kind of odd, but in a rather good way :)

I just started a new job (2 days ago), full time for the first time in a few years as my daughter has now left school and entered the world of work, so I no longer have to do school runs or be home at the end of the school day (shed a little tear actually, its a big moment). So, more hours, a commute and big life changes are taking their toll and I'm not really writing or doing anything other than work, run the house, sleep, at the moment! So I'm afraid no SLY or Snapshots on the horizon right now - but don't rule it out for ever.

First of all, congratulations on your job, dear Rachael. As far as children are concerned, shake hands! Mine are grown and independant (well, not financially haha) but boy, it sure gives us more time to ourselves!
