As you all know, Bobby Sterling, the Post Commander for Juniata Park Memorial Post #738 American Legion and former Director for Liberty Bell Chapter #266 VVA, has been suffering more than his share of medical problems during the past couple of years.
But Bobby is a wiry little guy who loves life. So I was happy to learn that he seems to be out of immediate danger of losing his second leg. The physicians seem to think his pain is coming from the nerves in his leg and hip. They want him to get an MRI or CT Scan to see what is happening with the nerves. But he must wait until he is six weeks post-surgury - he just had a stint placed in his kidneys - Bobby says it is working very well and he is no longer passing blood. The stints that were placed in his heart a couple of years ago are not doing so well and have calcified. But Bobby is in good spirits and he misses the gang at the Post.
Bobby is running again for Post Commander at 738 and so far he is unopposed in the election. He 'll be back.
