Vanilla Fudge was definietly a band ahead of it´s time with a sound still unequalled today. Carmine Appice is probably the most powerful drummer ever to sit behinfd a set of drums along with Dino Danelli. Tim Bogert was my inspiration as a bass player and I still can´t find anyone with his talent for playing bass.

I'm presently watching Larry King , with Paul & Ringo and I remember what excellent covers VF did of Eleanor Rigby & Ticket to Ride !! I saw this great band @ the Jacksonville Beach Coliseum (FL) in ?, the late 60's.
Speaking of the Beatles, VF did a concept album, I really don't have to say the name for a true fan "Beat Goes On" ! THAT ALONE WAS SO FAR AHEAD OF ITS TIME !! I'm sorry I missed last year's tour.

I just wrote a review about your album on iTunes. I'm another whose musical growth was influenced by you guys in the late 60's. I saw you in Vancouver in '68 or '69 after I'd already worn out your album listening to every nuance on every tune. Our garage band played a few. I salute you and hope you're still playing! If you tour again, be sure to hit Vancouver!

I hope this email catches your attention. In 1967 I along with a group of fellow prom committe memebers went to a club near Long Beach Long Island to hear you all play, and we hired you for our (St Agnes) Senior Prom. I was the person you spoke with and did the hiring. Wow, you are back together. I'd love to see you again. I am now the co-owner of Urban Express Productions in NH (please see my website). Live Music is our work and continued love. Who would have ever guessed that you would have been the first act I ever hired. PS I brag all the time. Ha Ha!! Best of the Very Best. I would love to be able to contact you, maybe we can work together again. Debi
