The Department of Archaeology at the University of Reading is running its undergraduate student training excavation at Cookham again this year, from mid-July to early August. As in previous years we are delighted to confirm that there are some spaces available for volunteers to join the excavation.


Volunteers interested in being involved in this year’s excavation must complete a registration form which can be obtained by emailing fieldschool@reading.ac.uk. To help us manage the booking process a unique reference number will be issued to each enquiry so if more than one person is considering booking please indicate this in the email so a number of reference numbers can be issued.


The registration form will provide all the details of the various options of volunteering available during the 4 week period and the information the volunteer provides will help us allocate the limited spaces.
