The Old Chequers is a listed building that has stood forlornly unused for some years and continues to deteriorate.
The Cookham Society support this development, welcoming the change of use to a single home as it is a good use of the building and is supported by NPPF 154c,154g and154h iv. In terms of a listed building, finding a viable use should be taken account of (NPPF 210a).
Amazingly, RBWM Planning Department refused the original application (25/02248) on the basis that it is inappropriate.
This new application has been submitted and Cookham Society support it again to prevent this listed building falling into further decay.
