Guests are set to enjoy music and plenty of tasty treats at a Food and Drink Festival at Cox Green Community Centre this Saturday.

This is the first Food and Drink Festival Angela McNamara and Zoe Elliott have organised and will run from 11.30am to 2.30pm, taking place both inside and outside the centre.

It will feature a range of food stalls, which will be raising money for their own charities.

Thai flavours will also be on offer, and guests will also be able to choose from a selection of savoury and sweet pies from the Rural Pie Co.

Guests will also enjoy a barbecue and can pick up honey and fresh eggs on the day.

A selection of cakes, bread and cookies will also be available.

Children will be able to get their faces painted and enjoy a craft table and free lucky dip.

The event will feature live painting as well as paintings on display.

An open mic will give guests the chance to set up and sing and play and instrument or share poetry.

The event’s main raffle is in aid of Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service in Snowball Hill.

Raffle tickets cost £1 for a strip of five.

The entrance fee costs £2 per adult and children can attend for free.

Maidenhead MP Josh Reynolds will also be in attendance.

Wendy Rolfe will be on hand with flower arrangements and plants.

Guests will be able to purchase drinks and food during the festival.

Angela said: “We have been having lots of lovely donations from local businesses and members of the public.

“We are still hoping other donations will come in between now and the 11th of July.

“The aim is for us to have a great day and raise funds by the raffle for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice [Service].”
