Perhaps not quite what you are looking for, but there are a couple of snippets of information relating to the Hampshire Regt. [Hants] in Sgt. Thomas Barker's Wartime Malta Diaries 1941-1943 published on this website. See the entries for 06 March 1942 and 31 March 1943.
