Anyone out there who remembers The Lancashire Fusiliers Band which was organised by Eric Wilson and Frank Buckley abt. Nov.1941 possibly at Lucca. Eric belonged to the Signals Branch and is my father. The band played on Malta Rediffusion Radio (loud speakers set up in Slima for broadcasts) also played at Vernon's United Services Club. Dad is a recipient of The Malta George Cross Fiftieth Anniversary Medal and is still alive and well.
He has'nt a computer so I have taken it upon myself to post this message on his behalf. If anyone remembers Eric or the band it would be lovely to hear from you.
From Malta dad went to: Sicily - Italy - Palastine - Syria - Germany - Belgium (served in Military Police whilst in Germany and Belgium).
