Xem. I served with the Royal Artillery in Malta from 1959 -1961. I was based at Lintorn Barracks in Floriana and worked at HQRA Malta in the Auberge de Castille in Valetta. My colleagues were mostly Maltese military and civilian personnel. I had a great working relationship with them all and became firm friends with some of them. I particularly remember Joseph (Joe) Busuttil from Birkirkara, He was a Bombardier in the RMA and he taught me a lot of the Maltese language. Another particular friend was Micheal Micallef who was one of the civilian clerks in the HQ. He came from Hamrun and was an amateur watch maker. Oops, not enough space to continue. Saha.
