I am looking for anyone familiar with the names Tanti and Pace. My great-grandmother was Marianna Pace born in Tunisie, her mother and father were born in Malta. (Anthony Pace and Maria Tanti.) Did a lot of Malta natives move to North Africa, and if so what were the reasons? How can I find the marriage of my gr-gr grandparents in Malta? I was also told that the Maltese may have originated in Sicily.
