Chief Petty Officer Peter Dagleish Anderson, Fleet Air Arm. Peter Anderson was my father and served on Malta convoys during World War Two and was stationed at Hal Far during that time.
From 1959 to 1961 he was posted to Hal Far as as part of the Air Electrical branch working on aircraft such as Sean Venoms. As a family we lived at Birzebbuga and my sister (Rosemary) and I attended forces schools, in her case Tal Handaq. My mother's name is Edith Clara.
From Malta we were posted to RNAS Lossiemouth in Scotland.
dear John, thanks for posting the message.
if you would like to send me a photo or more, even some more info from your past in Malta, I shall be only too happy to list your dad in the special section (Stationed at Malta) and include your story.
best rgds
