Hello...

I am trying to find a story and wondered if any one recognised it. Not sure of all the details but I think it was an arranged marriage.
Anyway Darcy leaves Pemberley for a time and when he comes back for a ball, Elizabeth runs away when she sees him and he chases after her in a totally sweet moment. Not sure why but this scene sticks in my mind and if anyone has any clues I would be very happy.

I read some time ago a fic in which Darcy and Elizabeth while still at Rosing Park, assist at the amourous encounter between Anne and a stableman. Elizabeth is shoked and there's a scene where Darcy keep her ears covered to stop her from hearing the other's moans and whatnot.

I think what you are looking for is Enid Wilson's "Bargain with the Devil" at AHA or 50M. It is great story and I highly recommend it.

The fic you're looking for could very well be "Bargain with the devil", by Enid, but it could be also an older (unfinished for now) fic. The masterful "A Shade in His Character", by Rebecca E., has the same premise and I think I remember that it was the inspiration for Enid's, for its status as a very regretted, kinda eternal WIP (author says she's working on it, and given the quality of the writing, I'm hoping she is!).

I was thinking of A Shade etc. as well. Miracles do happen, but I have little hope to tell you the truth.

She _has_ said that she's working on completing it just a few months ago (or even less? I would've to check Firthness forums to be sure)...

He tells her that no matter whether they make love or not, he will ask Mr.B for his blessing in the morning. Before he leaves for L, they do it again in the library, confirming their commitment and love to each other.
I have looked for it in the jaff index under earlier resolutions, resolution during J's illness, etc. but cannot find it. I can't even remember which site I read it from.

Lili, Sounds like Abigail Reynolds, Impulse and Initiative, to me. It is a published book now and is available at Amazon.com. Hope this helps.

Brandy is right, Lili, must be Abigail's Impulse and Initiative, the first R-rated fanfiction story I've read after having discovered the JA fandom. Great story!

That does sound similar to Impulse&Initiative but having just read that again-- I know it's not. Because the library scene in Abigail's book is at Pemberley and they make love in the master's chambers; also they are all ready engaged before she left for her trip north with the Gardiner's so Darcy just has to ask Mr Gardiner(in Mr.Bennet's stead) if they can marry in a couple of days time...
But as to which story you are looking for-- I can't help you. Sorry.

Having read I&I like a million times, I know for sure that is not what I am looking for. My description is still accurate and still I have not found it. And still driving crazy..

A few days ago, I read Christina's post about the series "Lost in Austen" and I was immediately interested, so I did some research. As Renée mentions, only residents in the UK can watch it in the ITV website (lucky Britons!)

Yep, it was slightly tricky for me too at the beginning. This is what I did:

Once you open the page directly on the link:

you will see a screen on the right hand side, with a play symbol in the centre and the message "click play to watch video". If the link is correct, you should see the symbol.

After you click on the play symbol, the little screen is reloaded (in my computer, with adverts on getting dates and so on). Ignore the play symbol that will still appear in the centre, as it will only open the dating advert, and go directly to the bar on the bottom of the little screen. There you will find another play button. That is the one you want.

The episode should be complete. To have access to the rest of the series, there is a link on the menu on the left.

Mrs. Darcy, Have you heard anything from JanH?? I know she lost her dear husband earlier this year -- and I was just wondering how she might be doing. I have been indulging in some of her greatest hits again-- presently An Arranged Marriage -- delicious no matter how many times I have read it. But in re-reading it, I was reminded of her loss-- and so she has been on my mind... So I guess what I wanted to know was if she was doing okay -- and to just pass along that she is much beloved out here in the fandom and still in our thoughts.

I'm sure Jan will be very pleased you inquired, Christina. She just replied to a post in one of her story threads. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't been in touch for a while, but think of her very often. In the last e-mail exchange we had she told me that it's difficult but that she'll get through it eventually.
