Re: The Courtship Of Eddie's Father

Hi Eric,
It's good to hear that your 11-year old enjoyed 'The Courtship of Eddie's Father.' I do know one young person who loves old movies and would rather watch them than anything else. Ok, ok I admit, it's me. I'm only 19 years old and I can sit in front of the tv all day watching TCM. Them classics hooked me, now hopefully they can get more youngsters to join me. ;) Take Care!

Stephanie

Re: Re: The Courtship Of Eddie's Father

Hi Stephanie,Good on you for not closing your young eyes to the older films, today's pictures have all sorts of technical wizardry and surround sound, often played to loudly even when there are only a handfull of people in the cinema,it's sounds much louder in a near empty auditorium. All these special & sound effects cannot make a poor movie good.
Not that there aren't any good ones around these days (I'm a semi retired projectionist,so I see most of the new releases)but I reckon a good script story and acting are more important.
Best regards
Eric

I agree! Youngsters of today could learn so much from the re-run tv series of yesterday
