Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
The link on the Mrs. Darcy site to Jane Austen Regency Fanfiction Index goes to a page requiring a user id and password, but no area to register for those. Any guidance on how one could gain access to that particular link?
Agree with all the sentiment here that the Mrs. Darcy site is really great!
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
I'm a huge fan of this JA website, but I also like one called Longbourn Loungers which is dedicated to fanfiction based on the 2005 movie version of P&P. Today it seems to not be there anymore. Does anyone know the story on that? Has it been discontinued from the Life and Stuff space, or did it move? Googling it didn't locate it.

Thank you!
The username to the JA/FF index = MDSreader
The login name = MrsDarcy
Use capitals where required, user name and login are case sensitive. On the Stories Page you'll find the link to the username and login, Maura. Happy browsing!
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Thanks, Renee, for researching it. Hopefully those ff writers at LL will post their stories at other JA sites, if indeed the site is permanently gone. I appreciate your quick response!
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Ladies and gents, LL will be up soon again. It was all a misunderstanding. So no worries about virusses or hackers or whatever!
BTW, I'm deleting all other FF sites from the link section of my site except for the JA/FF index. My section was incomplete anyway. Apart from that it so often happens that sites are down. So, I thought it best to just stick to the index. From there all other FF sites can be found.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Does anyone have current information about Hyacinth Gardens? I heard at the end of September that they were working on it, and nothing since. I sent an email to two of the mods Friday morning and it bounced back to me as undeliverable today.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Excuse my ignorance, but I have been a new comer to Mrs. Darcy's story site, and I have been reading a few stories. They are very well written, and I ask if it is possible that I could submit my own fanfiction. Again, excuse my ignorance! Thank you.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
A warm welcome to you, Rebecca. And you're welcome to ask any question you want to ask.
I'm sorry to say though that Mrs Darcy's doesn't have a free story posting facility, and that authors are invited to join the circle on recommendation and invitation. Could you tell me where you've posted yours? If I can spare the time I'll check them out. Can't make any promises though!
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Hello, I am a newbie to this site but have fallen head over heels for it already I hope that this question is okay, it refers to a story I read a while ago and can't remember the title of... the only bit I remember is that Lizzie and Darcy are celebrating Christmas together and she gets him a horse statue which has great meaning. It's not a lot to be going with I know but I did enjoy it thoroughly so if anyone is familiar with it... Thank you
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
A very warm welcome to you, Spider! Hope to 'see' you often.
The story you're inquiring about, is it modern or Regency? I had to think of Belén's Obstacles to Overcome, a modern retelling set in the equestrian world. Truth be told, my memory actually fails me. Christmas is celebrated but I'm not sure whether she gave him that gift. I ought to know though...
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Thank you Renée.
I should have mentioned that it was a Regency piece. From what I can remember the Fitzwilliam family were all invited and the Earl and possibly Colonel F were both especially impressed with the gift. It may or may not have been a forced marriage story.
I wish that I could recall more and don't really suppose anyone will know it but it's worth a try
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Hello, first let me express my ardent admiration for this JAFF-site, thank you so much for all the wonderful stories.
Now let me boast of my good memory: after reading the question referring to the horse statuette as a Christmas gift, I thought instantly of two stories and on checking the second I found the requested section - it´s "The Darcy Saga" by Sharon L.,chapter 12, Christmas at Pemberley -Christmas Day.

Last but not least: will "Strange Bedfellows" be continued? Pleeeeease?
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
hey... I was wondering if Jan H ever posted her stories anywhere else? I love reading at Mrs. Darcy and it is my absolute favorite site, but so many of the other authors can be found in different places.. (eg. HG, Austen Interlude, etc)
oh, and Mrs.Darcy should consider adding Jessi of Austen Interlude to her circle of authors. "The Muse" is an amazing modern ff, and should be shared with all the loyal readers here at Mrs. Darcy.
thanks!
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Unfortunately, the "DArcy saga" by Sharon L is not anymore avaylable, unless you buy the book.
Or is it in some archive? Is there a direct link to it? I would love to read it.

Shame on me, Beatrice, your post escaped my notice. Thank you so much for your kind compliment. Mrs Darcy's doing her best to keep the site up-to-date. and posts such as yours keep her going.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
I am looking for a story that is a Modern WIP. The part that I remember is Darcy is in a meeting and he looks over to see Richard's young daughter doing fishy faces at him thru the window. The young girl's name is Daisy and she loves Bratt Dolls. Does this sound familiar I would appreciate any suggestions.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Hello there!
I've got a question about HG. I just got a mail that the forum is open again and that new users can register. Of course I immediately did , but I still cannot get to the stories. Is anyone experiencing the same problems? I would love to dive into new stories
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Thank you Renée for replying so quickly!
I can see it before I log in, but afterwards the boards under "Beyond the Garden Gate" disappear somehow. All I can read are the forums under "Before You Enter". I don't know how this happens, it's very strange indeed!
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
The subforum where the fiction bloom folder is, is called "the heart of the garden". Can you see that? If yes, click on it, if not, I guess you'd better send a message to the admins.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
The message below has been posted by Maria, but oddly enough I don't see it appear in the forum, only in my mailbox.
Dear Renée, I have been looking for a story I once startet reading but do not know the name anymore. I remember Jane and Bingly were married and had a daughter. Lizzie and Darcy were married too and were having the usual difficulties with each other. Lydia had been saved from Wickham and was expected to take care of Jane's daughter. Because of her cerelessness, though the child died. After the funeral, this child appeared to Jane and Darcy, almost like an angel before she ascended into heaven. As far as I remember it was a very beautiful story, not finished though. Do you or anybody else know what story is it?
I'm afraid I don't know, Maria. Somebody else? If not, try the tearoom at DWG. It sounds like a story that might be posted over there.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Maria, I remember reading the story you are referring to recently from a thread at AHA. The story is Having Nothing, Nothing Can He Lose by Irene. It is an old FF from years ago that was never finished due to the author having cancer.
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
TY so much CrystalE.
Yes, yes that's it.
And again "Yes", the Link works perfectly.
Such a shame that it is not finished... and due to such a sad reason... I am very sorry for the author...
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
Hi Mrs Darcy and friends,
Can anyone help. I remember reading a story once in which a distracted regency Darcy and Elizabeth are in Darcy's study and Elizabeth ends up with Darcy signature imprinted on her backside. I remember it made me chuckle, and I thought I read it about the same time I discovered Mrs Darcy's site. But I cant remember any other details so I cant find it again. I tried looking at the storeis index and thought that something would job my memory....but I ended up getting distracted and just reading a long strange trip, then the journy then.....
Re: Have an urgent question about ff stories, ff sites, ff authors...?
The first image I got in my head while reading your post, Lisa, was a scene from "The Hour of the Pig" with Colin Firth playing a French lawyer in the Middle ages, having to defend a pig. In that movie something similar happens. I had to dig deep in my memory and suddenly remembered which story you mean:
