I have a similar question to the person before. I have an 11 year old Devon Rex, that is about 15 lbs. We have two children and Lucy, our Devon. Lucy deffinitely has oldest child syndrome We got a dog a few years back, the dog is smaller than the cat The two get a long great! However, We have trained the dog not to eat the cat food, but we can not keep the cat out of the dog food Lucy, the devon, is our grumpy old lady and I can't figure out how to keep her out of it? any good idea?

My Devon Rex female is 12 years old, weighs 5lbs, and is a dainty eater. She requires a special diet because of digestive problems that caused her to vomit bile alot. I try to keep her food separate from her sister who is a plain old barn cat and wolfs down everything I put in front of her but then eats Louisa May's too. Any suggestions on how to manage this problem? Louisa May Alcatt is a grazer so she eats a little and comes back to the bowl periodically. Also, is there a breed standard for shape of the face? Louisa has a broader chinline and her ears are more in proportion to her head size than other Devons I've seen. Also, she has to lay on me all the time. She is on my elbow as I write this which makes it a little hard to type. Is it time to get her a heated bed? I worry that she gets cold when I'm not home. Only occasionally will I find her curled up with Cornelia Otis Skinner which she did more in past years. I've noticed they fight a lot more in the last year or so.

A quick note to thank you for your site, and to let you know my husband and I have adopted a 6-year-old Devon Rex who was being retired and needed a home. He is everything your site said and more. We quite enjoy him!!! Thanks again.
