On June 1st, our 8 year old son, Jordan, broke his arm jumping on the trampoline. My husband, Doug, and I took him to the hospital. We keep a bag in the car packed with pictures of Jesus, The Passion of the Christ dvds, and Jesus is Alive tracts, to give out whenever we are out. While we were waiting for Jordan to have an x-ray taken of his arm, there was a mother and her little daughter waiting also. The mother looked worried and I walked over and showed her a picture of Jesus and asked her if she would like one. She did. She told me her daughter, about 5 years old, was playing at school and was running and fell and hit her head. She had been throwing up all afternoon and they were checking her head out for injuries. Jordan prayed for her, and I showed the picture of Jesus to the little girl and asked her if she would like to wear it. She said yes, and I put it on her and then put the picture in her hand, she held it looking at Jesus. I told her she could talk to Him and He would be listening to her. She was wheeled away right then, going down the hallway holding the picture of Jesus still looking at Him.

While we were waiting for Jordan to be taken into surgery, nurses were coming and talking to Jordan. I offered them pictures, and they wanted them too. We gave extra pictures of Jesus to everyone so they would have some to share. One of the doctors doing the surgery came over to talk to Jordan, so I offered him a picture of Jesus also. He said thank you and took them. He held a picture up to Jordan and said, "I would invite Him in but, I think He already comes." Jordan was wheeled into surgery with a picture of Jesus around his neck, and another picture in the pocket of the surgical gown of one of his doctors. Jesus really helped Jordan during this whole ordeal. At one point, while we were waiting for the doctor to give us the results of the x-rays, Jordan said, "Mom, I feel fingers on my arm". It was Jesus! The main nurse that was taking care of Jordan was a man, very tall, who explained everything to Jordan about his broken arm. We had given him pictures of Jesus, and when it was time for Jordan to be taken to surgery he said to Jordan, God bless you.

After Jordan's surgery they came out and said it went very well. They put the bone in place and put two pins in his arm which will come out after his cast comes off in 6 weeks. I was handed his clothes and noticed that the picture of Jesus was not in them, I asked the nurse who handed them to me where it was and she said he is wearing it. When we were able to see him we walked into recovery and Jordan was there eating a Popsicle and they had put the picture of Jesus on the sling that was around his neck! I offered pictures to the two recovery nurses and they both wanted them. One of the nurses said she would give them to those coming out of surgery, I gave her more pictures to have for them.

When it was time, Jordan was moved to a room on the 6th floor. All the nurses involved were offered pictures and they wanted them. One lady was in Jordan's room the next day and was cleaning, I offered her pictures of Jesus and she said she did not speak English. With the little I know how to say in Spanish, I told her they did not cost any money. She was very glad to have them and said, "I love Him". A women who was standing out in the hallway with her son who had a hand injury (he was probably 5 years old) I offered her pictures and a copy of The Passion. Again, she did not speak English, but she accepted the pictures. Her son wanted to wear one, so I put it on him. A nurse was coming by who spoke Spanish and she told the women she could have the copy of The Passion of the Christ, and that it did not cost any money. So, she accepted it and said thank you. I walked back to the room and turned around to smile at her before I went back in, and she had put on the picture of Jesus. Jordan had prayed for a baby that was in one of the rooms near his, and when we were leaving the next day, after we were given the okay to take Jordan home, we heard the baby crying and Jordan asked Jesus to help the baby to get well. He said he wanted to give the family pictures of Jesus. So, on the way out, we found the room the baby was in, and Jordan asked the mother if she would like to have a picture of Jesus. She did, and she thanked him.

We received a call from a man named Roger, who was flipping through the channels on the TV, and came across our show, which airs in the Albuquerque, NM area on Channel 27, Thursdays at 2:00 PM. He stopped because he saw the picture of Jesus that was on the screen. Roger said that he normally doesn't call people, but when he saw Jesus he had to pick up the phone and call our number. We talked for a while, and he told me that he has spent time in prison, and has been down that path, and knows what is down there. He said that he wants to change, that he is so tired of living the way he has, hanging around the people he does, and that he needs Jesus to help him. He also said when the picture of Jesus was on the TV screen, it was like Jesus was talking to him with His eyes.

He went on to say that he saw Jesus and that no judgment was coming from Jesus about his life, just love. He feels so weighed down by his past and the way he had been living, that he wept as he asked for help from Jesus several times as we talked. After we talked for a while, he said he felt so much better (I saw Jesus was there with him) and that he felt hope that Jesus would help him and he would be able to change. After I got off the phone, we sent him a package of pictures for him and his mom, plus some extra to give out to others. He had not seen The Passion of the Christ, we also sent him a promotional dvd. He was very glad and said he was going to watch it with his mom. When I told him that there is something we can all do for Jesus, which is to give out the pictures, because Jesus is using them to reach people, so they can know him and his love for them, just as Roger felt when seeing His picture, he said that it was a small thing for Jesus to ask, after Jesus had done such a big thing for us.
