My grandmother was an accomplished needlewoman. I learned to tat as a teenager, but gave it up in frustration, preferring to knit. I now have a small collection of vintage crochet and tatting booklets and feel inspired to return to tatting -- but I threw my plastic tatting shuttle away! I am in awe of the very beautiful things that women used to make to adorn their homes. |

I am very interested in learning to tat and make lace. As a young girl many many many years ago i used to do a little crossstitch on patterns my grandma would make for me.. I would really like to start doing these sort of things again. |
