Thefts from Vehicles

We've seen a recent increase in thefts from vehicles across Maidenhead, particularly in the Oldfield, Cox Green and Furze Platt areas. To help protect your belongings and prevent further incidents, please follow these crime prevention tips:

πŸ”’ Lock Your Vehicle: Always lock your vehicle, even if you're just stepping away for a moment. Unlocked vehicles are easy targets for thieves.

πŸ‘€ Remove Valuables: Never leave valuables such as wallets, purses, tools, or electronics in your vehicle. If you must leave items in your car, hide them out of sight.

πŸ’‘ Park in Well-Lit Areas: Whenever possible, park in well-lit areas. Thieves are less likely to target vehicles in visible, well-lit locations.

πŸ“± Report Suspicious Activity: If you see anyone acting suspiciously around vehicles, please report via 101 or call us immediately on 999 if you witness a crime in progress. Your vigilance can help prevent crime.

πŸ“· Check Your CCTV and Dash Cams: If you have CCTV or dash cam footage that might help us identify suspects, please contact us on 101 or report online.

πŸ”‘ Keyless Car Theft Prevention: For keyless entry vehicles, store your keys in a signal-blocking pouch or metal tin to prevent thieves from intercepting the signal.

Let's work together to keep our community safe! If you have any information about these incidents, please contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Stay safe
