Re: ALRTH
I have read part of TPPtP, but sadly an uncompleted one..can't remember who gave me the link..I am just wondering whether anybody out there knows whether it has been completed?? Lisa???
What does "TPPTP" stand for? I cannot find a story on Lisa's page that has that acronym, but so enjoyed ALRTH that I'm sure I would enjoy it as well! Can you please provide the full name and/or the link to it? Many thanks!
Sorry girls, I didn't read Ima's post well: TPPTP is The Primrose Path to Pemberley, a sequel to A Long Road to Happiness by Lisa L. I fear Lisa won't finish this seuquel, and I'd be very surprised it's still on the Internet. IIRC she had it removed a long time ago.

Re: ALRTH
Lisa's classic "A Long Road to Happiness" has just been reposted on her new pages. A good reason to reread!

Re: ALRTH
Your story is very sweet, but something confuses me. Are you supposed to write in both auctorial and personal point of view? It all seems very chaotic and unprofessional, but if it's supposed to be like that I will not say another word. If you read the line below, you must agree it's confusing and strange to read.
"I feel a little indiscreet with the arrangement. But she would not consider changing it."
I take the liberty to reply in Lisa L's place, since she's not much online lately. ALRTH was Lisa's first fanfiction. IIRC, she wrote it in 2001 or perhaps even sooner, and yes, she's an amateur, as all Mrs Darcy's authors are. This story is indeed lovely, and eventual errors (errors she will acknowledge with a smile on her face, no doubt) are totally forgivable, IMHO, compared to all the loveliness, wit and fine language that are hers in a general sense.
I hope you will read her later work, you'll notice how much she has grown as an author.

Re: ALRTH
Wow, that was certainly a fast reply!
I think I have read some of her later works before (I'm not sure though). And the story is truly lovely! Most Jane Austen authors I've "met" are amateurs and I'm glad. It makes them human and more understandable. I'm sorry if i was offending. I write before I think too often for my own good. I'm very sorry!
Could you please tell me where I can find more of her work?

Don't worry, I'm sure Lisa will understand.
